Application link improvements
The following application link improvements have been made:
- SolidWorks 2015 SP1 and SP2 are now supported.
- The Revit link now supports synchronization of both standard parameters and custom parameters. The parameter name may also be specified as the asterisk (*) wildcard character to signify all parameters in the category.
- AutoCAD 2016 (including Civil 3D, Map 3D, P&ID, and Plant 3D) has been tested and is now supported.
- The asset management and AutoCAD P&ID features that were previously in separate AutoCAD runtime extensions (.arx) have been combined into the base AutoCAD link to simplify installation. Feature sets can be enabled or disabled with new registry values. Configuring the link is unchanged.
- Autodesk Inventor 2016 has been tested and is now supported.
- The TagType setting of the AutoCAD link now supports object type names specified as literals, attribute values, or combinations of attribute values and constant strings. The TagType setting can be used with the Meridian Asset Management Module.
- The AutoCAD link now supports synchronizing constant type title block attributes when the link's SyncConstantAttributes setting is set to 1.
- Autodesk Revit 2016 has been tested and is now supported.
- A new menu item and ribbon icon have been added to the AutoCAD link that shows the Drawing Tags dialog box. This dialog box lists the asset tags that are found in the current drawing that match the link configuration. This dialog box was previously available only in the AutoCAD P&ID link. It can now be used to manage links to assets in standard AutoCAD drawings.
- The Revit link now supports multiple sheet title blocks per drawing similar to the AutoCAD link.
- The following application links are no longer supported. This does not affect the AutoVue viewer. For a list of the supported file formats, see Oracle AutoVue 20.2.3 Supported File Formats Windows and Linux Platforms.
- All AutoCAD versions prior to 2013, including all vertical market applications (AutoCAD P&ID, AutoCAD Civil, and so on)
- Autodesk Inventor versions prior to 2013
- Revit versions prior to 2013
- SolidWorks versions prior to 2013
- A new filter expression [Cut <start> <length>] has been added to the TagPrefixPropertyDef setting used with the Meridian Asset Management Module. The expression can be used to exclude a substring from the retrieved property value.
- Meridian Asset Management Module tag filters that are unique to tag types or tag values must now be defined separately in a new TypeFilters setting or the old TagFilters setting respectively. A new Filters setting can be used to define filters that can be applied to either tag types or tag values.
